Sam the Seagull Goes Shoplifting

Sam the Aberdonian Seagull has perfected the art of stealing Cheese Crisps and sharing them with his friends.

Customers are impressed with his skills and are paying for his crisps.

Here in Adelaide, his relatives are similarly persistent. They can tell from about half a mile if you have chips when you are on the beach.

Thanks Groanin Jock

Humans are more weird than seagulls. Why pay for his crisps? Only humans are bound by human laws.

Bloody anthropomorphists. I hate those guys.

I suspect that knowing Aberdonians, they felt sorry for the immigrant owner and the impact that this may have on his ability to earn a living. Although Aberdonians have a reputation for being tight fisted, I found them to be personally generous and friendly during my year there in the late 70s.

My abiding memory was how bloody cold and miserable it was most of the time.

i'm not an aberdonian but have lived in aberdeen for 12 years.

the weather in aberdeen is perfectly fine and the surrounding scenery is unrivalled worldwide.

you obviously are not a very hardy person.

cold and miserable is how i'd describe australians who unfortunately spoil any visit i make to that other beautiful scottish city edinburgh - the place is full of gap year aussies who unfortunately make really unfriendly bar staff.

Hello Anonymous

I actually grew up in Scotland, am Scottish and stand by my thoughts on the weather. That said, it was a nice place to live for a year. I got around the local area and enjoyed the people.
